"From The Cradle"

Blues is that lonely subject of "From the cradle". ". The blues declined in 16 tributes, 16 classics taken from Lowell Fuston's, Eddie Boyd's, Willie Dixons', Ellmore James', Freddy Kings' and Muddy Waters' notebooks. "From the cradle" has been recorded in London with friends as Andy Weather Low (guitar), Chris Stainton (keyboard) and Jim Keltner (drums), in live conditions, in order to keep intact the emotion and the music intensity. What is surprising in this album is EC's voice, a voice which has acquired a strength and a mastery we couldn't suspect from him., the voice of a man who has survived to the time he lived. EC so joins the great blues men masters. He sings with "From the cradle" his best album, the one of the maturity.

"From the Cradle" " is number 1 on both side of the Atlantic, it is a first for a traditional blues album.

In April 1966, "Crossroads II" subtitled "Live in the Seventies". Besides its title, "Crossroads II" has no common point with "Crossroads I", which gets a panorama of EC's career. Here, this box-set stays on the 70's period and offers quite exclusively his record sessions. Always in Spring 1996, EC goes on the realization of the film soundtracks of "The Van" and "Phenomenon". With "Change the World"," he rises the second place in the US charts and acquires 3 new Grammy Awards.
