Blind Faith

Then EC joins Steve Winwood (they recorded together two years before) to make a new super-group : Blind Faith; completed by Rich Grech, the previously Family bassist, and Ginger Baker at drums. Founded in 1969, Blind Faith starts in June in front of 100,000 people during a free concert in Hyde Park, but due to a small number of repetitions it was mediocre said EC, before publishing their first and unique album : "Blind Faith".

For this album, EC composed his real first song "Presence of the Lord" where he lets vocals to Steve Winwood. Before this song he had only signed instrumental ones.

Blind Faith makes a tour in the USA with Delaney and Bonnie (the first white group which signed with the famous STAX) in first part. Bur due to the wave of violence in the USA, the tour will take place in a bad atmosphere. Once the tour ended, the group is dissolved, only 11 months after its creation. Although EC will tour in Europe with this group, which leads to the album "Delaney and Bonnie and Friends with Eric Clapton". For this period, EC finally adopts a Fender Stratocaster as stage friend.
