ERIC CLAPTON SELLS OUT
LEE : "THIS BYRDLAND IS not the one he played at the concert for Bangla Desh. On the blues tour he had a blonde one and a sunburst one that he was using elsewhere in the show, so I couldn't set that one up as a slide spare. So I bought another sunburst Byrdland for a spare - sod's law would mean he's bound to bust a string.
"Then we bought yet another one, which we got from Vintage And Rare in London, so we had four of them; two open-tuned and two regular-tuned. He's keeping the Vintage And Rare one because it's got an L5CES label in it some of them were made with L5 tops and backs. There are some beautiful jazz guitars in the auction."
